Biographies, Watercoloring and Finding Your Nemesis

SD Cards galore!

SD Cards galore!

We have been so busy lately that we have fully neglected to update our blog!  In this case, I would say that no news is good news!  Let me catch you up!

First off, a few weeks ago we finished up the second part of our Best of Craigslist series called "Nemesis Wanted".  You can see the video in our Passion Projects section, or on YouTube here:

Yes, that is our very own Kyle Maddux-Lawrence pictured with Chuck Norris.  And yes, the video is every bit as good as the still frame suggests.

We've also begun a super interesting project recording the biography of a local Savannah man named Jim Cox.  Jim is originally from England and has led 90 years worth of interesting adventures around England, India and the United States, to name a few places!  Here is a sound bite from one of our recent interviews.  In it, Jim describes watching the first bombs drop on London at the start of World War II.  See, I told you he's led a full life...

On Friday of last week, we wrapped a week long shoot for local watercolorist Rebecca Kahrs.  We are currently in post production of three two-hour long instructional videos, each teaching about "The Magic of Watercolor".  It was a tedious shoot but with pretty specular footage, and an interesting subject to say the least.  Think Bob Ross, but female and with watercolor.  Oh and no happy trees.  Okay, come to think of it, don't think of Bob Ross.  Think of a truly gifted watercolorist painting amazing colors.  Here is a production still from our shoot:

We've got plenty more in the works as well.  Kyle is getting ready to wrap on a short indie film he has been directing and shooting for the past couple months called "The Imbecile".  It's a dark comedy about love, envy and murder (almost). He's been working side by side with Andrew Sutphen, who is writing, producing and acting.  Lucia Garcia of Electric Grandma is playing opposite Andrew, as the brain injured musical savant, and wife of Andrew's character, Christopher. It's been a passion project for the two of them and from the looks of the dailies, it's going to be pretty good.

Several other projects are in the works, but we are not quite at the liberty to divulge those details just yet.  Let's just say, 2014 is going to be the summer of documentaries.  We promise it's going to be good...
